SECTION: Insurance policy issuance:

  • When can I take out an insurance policy?
    The insurance can be taken out while the tourist is in the territory of permanent residence, i.e. before passport control.

  • When does the policy take effect?
    The activation (period of validity) of the insurance policy starts from the moment of passing through customs or from the date chosen by the client at the time of purchase. The date is indicated in the insurance policy (whichever is earlier).
  • If a tourist decides to extend his stay abroad, can the insurance be extended?
    It is possible, but only upon written request and agreement with the insurance company, and provided that there are no insured events during the period of validity of the policy.

 


SECTION:  Notification of an insured event to the insurance company

  • When and how should a tourist report an insured event?

    The medical insurance must be activated immediately after the occurrence of an insured event by telephoning or writing to the contact details of the Assistance Company specified in the policy.

  • If I need medical treatment, what information do I need to provide to the insurance company?

    - Name and surname of the insured person;
    - Contact telephone number;
    - Location (country, city, hotel, etc.);
    - Policy number;
    - A brief description of what has happened and what type of assistance is required.


SECTION:  Conditions for compensation of funds upon occurrence of an insured event

  • Does the insurance cover the transfer to a medical facility?
    If the tourist is in a serious condition, the insurance company will pay (reimburse) the transfer or taxi on presentation of a document certifying payment of the fare. Payment is made in one direction only: Hotel - Medical Centre.

  • How are the payment documents drawn up?
    The tourist must collect a complete set of documents. The list of required documents is specified in the insurance contract.

  • What are the conditions for payment of compensation?
    The traveller should send the complete set of documents to the insurance company within 30 calendar days of the occurrence of the insured event. The documents will be considered within 15 working days from the date of their submission to the insurance company. The Insurer will pay the indemnification within 5 (five) bank working days from the date of the decision to pay the indemnification. The insurance payment will be made in the form of a non-cash settlement.
