Conditions for compensation of funds upon occurrence of an insured event

 

To claim, you must complete the claim form and attach copies and originals of the required documents.

The following documents, which are common to all insured events, must be submitted in order to receive the insurance benefit:

  • A written application in the form prescribed by the Insurer;
  • A copy of the insurance contract (policy);
  • A copy of the foreign passport with the border crossing stamps of the country of stay, if the border crossing does not require stamps, copies of the plane, train or bus tickets or any other document confirming the border crossing;
  • A copy of the national passport;
  • A copy of the certificate of allocation of an identification number;
  • Bills for telephone calls to the Assistance Centre, indicating the telephone number and the cost of each call;
  • A copy of the return ticket to the country/place of permanent residence of the insured person.

 

In cases where the policyholder/insured pays for medical services himself/herself, the policyholder/insured is obliged to obtain the following information from a medical institution:

  • an invoice from a medical institution (on letterhead or with an appropriate stamp) containing the following information: the patient's name and surname, the exact diagnosis, the date on which medical assistance was sought, the duration of the treatment, details of the medical services provided, the diagnosis, the medication prescribed, with an indication of its quantity and cost;
  • prescriptions issued to the insured person by the attending physician for the purchase of medicines, indicating the name of each medicinal product;
  • itemised bills for other services, broken down by date and cost;
  • documents confirming the fact of payment for medicines, medical and other services provided (invoicing documents, sales receipts, bank receipts, etc.);
  • Invoices for telephone calls (faxes) showing the telephone number, date, time and cost of each call;
  • PIR (Property Irregularity Report), DBR (Damage Baggage Report) or any other certificate of baggage loss or damage issued by a competent service, documents confirming the amount of damage - for insured events relating to baggage loss/damage;
  • documents characterising the circumstances of the insured event (report on the commission of a crime, victim's statement, police report, pre-trial settlement offers, copies of the claim form or any other document proving the claim against the Insured and the amount of damage caused - in the case of an insured event).

 

Compensation payment terms:

  • The tourist should send the complete package of documents to the insurer by e-mail within 30 calendar days of the occurrence of the insured event;
  • The documents will be examined by the Insurer within 15 working days of their submission;
  • The Insurer will pay within 5 (five) banking days of the decision to pay or indemnify;
  • The insurance payment will be made by non-cash payment.
