According to the current rules of the Airline, the following free baggage allowance is established for one passenger:

ATTENTION! Exceptions are flights on charter routes:
Warsaw - Kayseri:  15 kg + 1 piece of ski luggage up to 10 kg / person. 
Warsaw - Turin:  15 kg + 1 piece of ski luggage up to 10 kg/person.
Katowice - Zanzibar:  16 kg

Due to the limited capacity of the passenger cabin, you may be asked to check in your hand luggage as baggage. Upon landing, hand luggage will be loaded into the hold for the duration of the flight and will be returned after the aircraft has landed. In this case, before handing over the luggage, all valuables (such as a computer, money, keys, documents, etc.) must be obtained and taken on board.

The passenger is obliged to pay for the carriage of baggage in excess of the free baggage allowance, at the established rate on the day of payment, for the entire carriage to the destination.

On charter flights:

• short-haul flights (up to 6 hours): PLN 25 / EUR 6 / USD 6 for each 1 kg of excess baggage;
• long-haul flights: PLN 85 / EUR 20 / USD 20 for each 1 kg of excess baggage.

Payment for excess baggage on LOT Polish Airlines charter flights is carried out at the airport.

NOTE: The weight of one piece of baggage cannot exceed 32 kg.

Each individual set of sports equipment counts as one piece of baggage. The weight of each piece/set of sports equipment must not exceed 20 kg in any service class. Please note that the bicycle transportation service  is subject to mandatory payment, even if the weight and parameters are within the established norm.

In case of exceeding the established free baggage allowance in terms of the number of pieces and/or weight of 20 kg and/or parameters of more than 158 cm in the sum of three dimensions, sports equipment is subject to payment in accordance with the established rates of LOT Polish Airlines.

The price is valid at the time of publication for a one-way route and applies to the entire set of equipment, even if it is packed with individual items, for example, 1 pair of skis + ski boots + helmet.

The maximum weight of sports equipment may not exceed 45 kg . Oversized sports equipment is transported only by cargo.

Due to different types of aircraft, there is limited space for sports equipment in the luggage compartment and some sports equipment may not be accepted.
If you will be transporting sports equipment, you need to send a request to our email with flight data to confirm the service with the carrier before booking a ticket. This request must be sent no later than 36 hours before departure.

For children aged 5 to 12 travelling unaccompanied, airline offer special assistance. Care is provided by a LOT Cabin Crew member, as well as passenger service ground staff designated at the airport. This service can be issued for children under 16 years of age.

General rules for traveling a child without an accompanying person:

• Children under 11 years of age can travel alone only with a special unaccompanied service of ground personnel and flight attendants of the airline.
• Children over 12 years old can travel on their own or, at the request of their parents, take advantage of qualified assistance.

Parents or legal guardians whose children are traveling alone are required to print and fill out a special document, on the basis of which they fill out the form received directly at the time of ticket and baggage check-in. You can download the document and get more detailed information on the carrier's website .

Please note that the unaccompanied minor service is not available on all flights. 

Infants - children under 2 years old (2 years old) - can travel sitting on your lap. If you are traveling with two children under 2 years of age, a separate seat must be purchased for the second child. In this case, be sure to use a car seat to transport the child in a separate seat.

For infants, a regular passenger ticket is issued without the right to a separate seat in the cabin.

NOTE! The child car seat must be approved for use on air transport. The suitability of a child seat for air travel must be confirmed by the presence of an appropriate label on it.

 For the youngest passengers, a collapsible stroller or car seat can be taken from you before boarding the aircraft and returned to you when you exit the aircraft.

Children for whom a seat has been purchased are entitled to a collapsible stroller and car seat. In this case, the staff will pick up the stroller before boarding, and you will take the car seat with you on the plane. If you do not need a stroller during your trip, please leave it at the check-in and pick it up on arrival. Don't worry if your child suddenly wants to use the stroller in the transfer area - free strollers are available at the airport F. Chopin in Warsaw. 

On long-haul flights operated by Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft, it is possible to order a free baby bassinet service through the LOT Contact Center, at least 24 hours before departure. Additionally, a pillow and duvet will be provided so that your child can comfortably spend several hours of the flight. Due to the limited number of places, it is necessary to order a crib immediately after purchasing a ticket, so that you can be sure that the service will be confirmed.

A child traveling in a special baby bassinet must not weigh more than 12 kilograms on the day of the flight, and his height must not exceed 75 centimeters. The dimensions of the crib on board are: 84 cm x 40 cm.

You are not allowed to bring your own bassinet on board the airline's aircraft, but the airline guarantees that the available cribs will meet your child's expectations.

There are three options to transport animals:

• in the cabin in a container,
• in the baggage hold,
• in the baggage hold – as cargo.

Where an animal may be transported - in the cabin or baggage hold - will depend on its weight and size. Other animals may be transported only as cargo.

When travelling on board, your pet must spend the entire trip in a special container (either a transporter or a soft bag for the transport of animals) suitable for its weight and size. The animal has to fully fit in the kennel (no part of the body may protrude outside the carrier) with freedom of movement guaranteed so that it can stand, turn around and lie down. The weight of the animal transported in the cabin together with the container may not exceed 8 kg. :

Accepted dimensions of containers and bags:

• for B787 and B737 planes: 55/40/20 cm*;
• for DH4, E70, E75, E95 planes: 45/30/20 cm*.

 The cost of the service "Transportation of an animal in the cabin" is PLN 465 for a one-way flight (when departing from Poland, there is an additional transaction fee of PLN 75), payment for the service is charged in advance on round-trip flights.

 It is possible to transport animals weighing more than 8 kg in the luggage compartment, the maximum dimensions of the cage are 125/96/64 cm, the cost of the service "Transportation of an animal in luggage" is PLN 1200 for a one-way flight.

The carriage of dogs, cats and other pets requires the prior consent of the carrier. The categories of animals and the number that the carrier can carry are limited per flight and per passenger. Animals must be placed in appropriate food containers and provided with valid health and vaccination certificates, entry permits and other documents required by the country.

You need to check the full list of necessary documents for transporting an animal yourself at the veterinary service of the destination country.

Animal transport service can be ordered no later than 56 hours before departure.

NOTE: Guide dogs are carried free of charge on board the aircraft. The animal must have a leash and a muzzle and relevant documents.

On some LOT Polish Airlines charter flights it is possible to pre-book a seat on board of the aircraft for an additional fee.

To select seats, you must send a request to our email about the possibility of booking such a service. If it is possible to book specific seats in the cabin on the flight you have chosen, we will send you a cabin map with the current prices.

Please note that not every charter flight has the opportunity to book seats, so we recommend that you send a request to clarify this possibility before paying for the ticket.

Short haul flights (up to 6 hours):
Light snacks and water are offered during the flight. On board there is a small Sky Bar without warm meals and alcoholic drinks. Sandwiches, snacks and soft drinks are available to choose from.
Long haul flights (more than 6 hours):
Complimentary standard meals are provided depending on the time of day - breakfast, lunch or dinner.
