1. About Smartwings Airlines: history, fleet.

Smartwings (код ІАТА (IATA): QS; код ІКАО (ICAO) TVS) – is a brand of the Czech airline Travel Service.
Travel Service Airlines, a private charter airline, was established in 1997 and was primarily involved in charter flights for various tour operators. In 2004, Travel Service registered the Smartwings brand for low-cost scheduled flights to cities in Europe and Asia.

Today, Smartwings is one of the fastest growing airlines in Central Europe and a member of the Smartwings Group. Headquartered in Prague, Smartwings offers charter and scheduled flights from more than 400 airports worldwide.
The Smartwings fleet consists of 34 aircraft, including
- 2 Boeing 737-700s,
- 23 Boeing 737-800s
- 2 Boeing 737-900 ER airplanes,
- 7 Boeing 737 MAX 8 airplanes.

 
2. Rules of air transportation by Smartwings:

Smartwings luggage: hand luggage, allowance

Each passenger may carry liquids and gels in containers of 100 ml or less in their carry-on baggage. All packages must be placed in a transparent, resealable plastic bag with a maximum capacity of 1 liter. Transportation of liquids in checked baggage is not recommended.

Smartwings baggage: checked baggage allowance on Smartwings flights

The checked baggage allowance on Smartwings charter flights is as follows:

*For operational reasons, the checked baggage limit on Smartwings charter flights may be reduced to 15 kg from Polish cities to Lanzarote (Spain) and Cape Verde.

Important! Before paying for your ticket, check whether your ticket includes your checked baggage or only your hand baggage.

Transportation of animals in the cabin on Smartwings flights:

Smartwings accepts only dogs and cats for transportation. Each flight has a limited number of animals for transportation.
Information about the necessary documents and rules for the transportation of an animal should be clarified by the passenger independently in the relevant services.

Each animal must have its own air-permeable, hard-bottomed crate in which it can stand up and turn around. The airline may refuse to transport animals for operational reasons or due to lack of available space on the aircraft.

*Important! Pets are not allowed on Smartwings flights to/from Dubai, Ras Al Khaimah and Marsa Alam.

Transportation of children and infants on Smartwings charter flights

Categories:

• Up to 2 years of age - infant - may travel sitting on your lap. Infants are issued a regular passenger ticket without the right to a separate seat in the cabin.
• From 2 to 12 years old - child - when purchasing a ticket for a child, a regular passenger ticket is issued. There are no additional discounts, children have a separate seat in the aircraft.

Unaccompanied minors on Smartwings charter flights:
- This service is available upon request for children between the ages of 6 and 11,
- The cost is PLN 475 (EUR 95) per child, one way.

Passengers should check the rules for crossing the border of the departure/transit/destination country for minors and the required documents and airline rules for unaccompanied minors - on their own.

Check-in for scheduled/charter flights with Smartwings:

Online check-in:
- Check-in starts 30 hours before departure*,
- Check-in ends 60 minutes before the scheduled departure time*.
*Service is available only for passengers of scheduled flights

Check-in at the airport:
- Check-in starts 2.5 hours before the flight departure*,
- Check-in ends 40 minutes before the scheduled departure time**.

*For flights departing from Tel Aviv and Marsa Alam airports, the check-in counter opens 3 hours prior to departure.
**For flights from Tel Aviv, Dubai and for flights over 5000 km, check-in closes 60 minutes before departure.
