Tenerife Airport
There are two airports on Tenerife. One of them is located in the south, the other one is in the north.
Tenerife South Airport
The international airport, which, due to its southern location, is called Tenerife South Airport, or simply Tenerife Sur (TFS). Also, this airport has another official name - Reina Sofia Airport (Reina Sofia Airport) in honor of the Queen of Spain Sofia the Greek, who personally blessed and opened the airport in 1978. Nowadays, the name Reina Sofia Airport is almost never used, the more familiar is the name Tenerife South Airport, or South Airport. All the major world tourist charters, including from Ukraine, fly to the South Airport. There is one terminal in the airport.
There is a bus service from the South Airport to the capital, the North Airport, as well as some beach resorts (routes 111 and 343). The average fare for public transport is 2 EUR, and the journey time is about 45 minutes.
If you want to get to your destination a little faster, you can take a taxi. A trip to Playa de Las Americas, for example, will cost about 25-30 EUR, to Los Gigantes - 55 EUR, to Puerto de la Cruz - 100 EUR, and to the North Airport - 80 EUR.
Airport facilities and services
You can wait for your flight in the VIP lounge or pass the time in restaurants, cafés and bars at Tenerife South Airport. If you did not manage to get gifts for friends and relatives, you can do it right at the airport - go to the shops, Duty-Free. The South Airport also has a playground, a mother and child room for the convenience of passengers with children.
Also, you will find a first-aid post, banking facilities, travel agencies, a post office and a chapel at the South Airport. Moreover, the airport has parking, although you are unlikely to need it.

Tenerife North Airport
The North Airport has two names: Tenerife Norte and Los Rodeos. The second name has survived from the time when Los Rodeos Airfield military airport was in its place. Los Rodeos plays the role of ancillary serving mainly to organize air traffic between the Canary Islands and to service flights from mainland Spain.
It is convenient for visitors to relax in Puerto de la Cruz, as it is only 25 km away. Las Americas is 85 km away, and the southern airport is in 65 km.
The northern airport does not work at night being very calm compared to the southern counterpart.
Services: currency exchange offices, restaurants and shops, snack bars, car rental, indoor and outdoor parking.
